Many Indigenous children want to go to school and have the opportunity to succeed and come back to change the conditions in their communities. Unfortunately, they often live in villages that do not have schools and do not have the resources to send their children to appropriate places to study. As a result, children finish primary school and cannot continue because secondary school often requires relocation, which means renting a house and paying for food.
This is the case of Libama Ngouyi Derfin of Salambama Village in the Zanaga district. Derfin passed his Certificate of Primary and Elementary Studies (CEPE) last year but was unable to relocate 30 kilometers from his village to continue his studies.
He is currently serving as an example to some parents who think it is useless to send their children to school as long as they are unable to support their further education.
Since 2012, we have been working to give these children the same opportunity for academic success. Unfortunately, the task is so important that we need the help and contribution of several organizations and partners to give the same chances of success to these children.
Therefore, we need the foster families for these children.
Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a foster parent for this child or contributing to his education.
